Welcome to bluewhale
Hi I am Rob aka Bluewhale, I build premium quality guitar pedals here in Bude Cornwall. My pedals are built one at a time by my own two hands, I invest my time and passion into handcrafting the best guitar pedals available. My pedals are fantastic value for money and will inspire you with great tone, and I am confident the build quality will impress, there will never be a better time to join the Bluewhale family and start to add fantastic tone to your board. The pedal product pages feature links to the Bluewhale YouTube channel and honest video demos that have not been processed through a DAW. If you have any comments or questions please message me at bluewhale@mail.com, best wishes Rob.

A PEDAL IS BORN.
This section briefly documents what is involved in the building of a Bluewhale pedal.
PEDAL DESIGN
The design work is done on the computer, for the graphics I use Inkscape, the finished file is sent to the enclosure factory, they print ithe design and drill the holes.
For the circuit board I use Freepcb, the green tracks are on the top of the board, the red ones are on the bottom, the white writing is mirror image because it will be on the underside of the finished board.
When the enclosures and circuit boards arrive it's off to the Bluewhale bench.
Building the pedal
The electronic components are soldered to the circuit board, I do this by hand myself.
Next the bias is set, this is an important step, it is vital that the bias voltage is correct if the pedal is to sound the way I intend it to.
Next the pedal "guts" is fitted to the enclosure and the pedal is ready for testing and packing.
