Overdrive

The Bluewhale Overdrive is a high gain boost pedal with 2 stages of gain, each controlled by it's own knob, there is also a tone control. It has an internal power circuit which generates 18 volts from the 9 volts dc centre pin negative power supply, the result of this is clean gain with a lot of headroom. This pedal simply makes your signal bigger to overdrive your amp, it has no internal distortion generating devices, the boost is clean until it gets to a level that is to much for your amplifier causing the amp to generate all that lovely valve distortion tone that we love.

    Bluewhale pedals are handcrafted to the highest standards in Bude Cornwall UK. I use only the highest quality components in my pedals to ensure the best tone and a long and reliable life. The enclosure is made of diecast Aluminium with a tough and attractive powder coat finish, the footswitch incorporates a halo LED indicator light, red when true bypass mode is selected, blue when the pedal is engaged, you can always see exactly where to stomp, even on the darkest stage.
